One guys journey into quilting
Here’s my first attempt at a techie tutorial. I use the free program GIMP to help me audition fabrics for quilt ideas and blocks. Please watch the video below for the complete tutorial. Nothing better than NOT having to buy a piece of software!
Also I apologize in advance for the spa music in the background. I had my headphones on to use the mic, and didn’t realize I still had the music on and turned down low. 😛
I'm a 44 year old IT professional who stumbled into quilting about 9 years ago. When I started I had an old Kenmore sewing machine, some not so good fabric, and a dash of determination.
Since those early days I have learned tons thanks to my Local Quilt Shop (LQS), and many friends I've made along the way.
I started a blog to share my experiences, tips and tricks, and my opinions on all things quilting.
